Reading Books

I was never the kind of person who could sit down and enjoy reading a good book. I just couldn't get into what I was reading, and I would always lose my place because I would start thinking about random things that didn't even pertain to what I was reading. But in 2009, some friends talked me into reading the Twilight Saga books. I had watched the first movie Twilight already and I liked it. So I decided to give it a try, although I didn't want to start with Twilight since I had already seen the movie. So I read New Moon, then Eclipse, and even Breaking dawn all within about a 2 week period! I was so surprised that I actually enjoyed reading them. Around a year later when I finally got an iPhone, I discovered the iBooks app. Since then I have been reading and really enjoy doing it. I usually read for about an hour before I go to sleep at night, then sometimes I will read during the day when I am not busy. So at 25 years old, I am finally reading books which is something I always wanted to do, was just never interested in it. Most of the books I read are similar to twilight, I like the vampire romance type of novels. So I decided I would share the list of my favorite series and see if anyone has read them and see if they recommend anything that is similar.

All Time Favorite so far is the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward

The Southern Vampire Mysteries (True Blood show is based on) by Charlaine Harris

The House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Those are the best series I have read so far. I just started The Hunger Games last night, and must say after 3 chapters it seems like it is going to be a really good read. I had a hard time putting the book down so I could get some sleep. I also started using the Kindle app instead of iBooks, just to see if which I liked better. As of now, I like iBooks set up but that is what I am used to so give me some time and maybe Kindle will grow on me.
